Grumpy Day
Well, my cousin called me a couple of days ago saying that he wont be going on a trip to visit his sister (I was going to be giving his cat a complex the week he was supposed to be gone), because she's coming over here with her new baby! Everyone is really excited to see her, especially my cousin who now has a major reason to clean his apartment.
I've decided to start writing my short story again, but this time I'm going to dedicate a part of my day writing. I want to take a creative writing class again, and hopefully I'll have enough of the story done to turn it in for the class.
Not much has happened in the past couple of days. I have to decide which picture I took for my class I want to use for my assignment, and get it printed today. The instructor has decided that the first assignment will be done on fiber paper, and that takes a full day to dry. Some of the things you can do with fiber paper is pretty cool, but it takes so much more time, I'm not sure if it's all that worth it. Some tests have been done on photographs done on fiber and resin coated papers, and fiber lasts longer than resin coated. Resin paper already lasts over 100 years, how much longer do we need photographs to last?! If I'm not going to be around to enjoy them, and my children (that is, if Himself and I ever get around to having children) probably wont be around to enjoy them too, what's the point? Oh well, I guess future generations need to see how badly we've screwed Mother Earth, and photographs are going to be the only way to do that, what with VHS going to DVD, and tapes are going to CDs, and if you buy a computer, by the time you bring it home from the store, it's already obsolete. Sorry, I guess I'm a little bitter. It comes from not sleeping for more than 3 hours a night for the past week or so.
Coffee. Must get coffee before class, so I don't attenpt to kill my morning-person photo instructor.
